Student expectation of teacher feedback and student responsibility in the classroom
Here is a list of how teacher feedback would positively support student learning:
1) When teachers give us time to think about it
2) During tutoring
3) When they give me constructive criticism
4) When teachers teach us and don’t expect that we already know everything
5) When my teacher explains everything clearly and helps with whatever is needed
6) When they go back and walk through the steps
7) When they give me time and stay respectful and positive
8) When feedback is not satirical
9) Writes what we did wrong and helps us understand why
10) Grades homework in front of us, explains what we got wrong to help us understand

12) When my teachers tell me what I do wrong
13) When my teacher compliments me on simple questions. It makes me want to answer more questions.
14) My teacher does a practice problem after learning a new concept which I think helps because he/she has us grade it the same day
15) My teacher goes over the test problems that students frequently got wrong and also make us do test corrections to see what we did wrong
16) When they explain how learning what I am learning in their classes will benefit my life
